I’ve been working on the layout, playing around with Liquid Lemur and working both jobs. Vacation time means that I get to work all 3 shifts depending on who is on vacation.

The vette has been running well lately. I found a vacuum leak on the MAP sensor that was causing a rough idle.

Well, things have been going pretty well these days…The ‘Vette has been cold blooded since I got it back and I’m hoping that the parts I got through E-bay will solve the problem. It’s going to rain today and tomorrow morning, so I hope to work on it Sunday.

The car turns heads wherever I go…the cops turn their heads whenever I pass one…LOL.

I’m working 2 part time jobs along with my full time job at the hotel. The latest part time gig is pool care at the complex where we live. The nice part is that they’re going to take it off the rent….sweet deal! When the college job ends May 12th, I will still have the full time and part time gigs and have all morning to do whatever.

The Future of Dreamlinux

Just when you thought that Dreamlinux was on the way out, Nelson Silveira E-mailed me to update me on the status of the distro. It seems like he wants to make DL4.0 a stripped down version that can be customized to anyone’s taste.

I told him that I thought it would be a great new direction to take the distro on and I can’t wait to see what the next spin will look like. If it contains that great incremental installer that he came up with in Beta 4, it will be a winner.

New Beginnings

I start my new job today….I’m in maintenance again and full time to boot; Tomorrow, I start my part time gig at the college. I’m so glad that things are going to turn around soon.

The vette is going to Las Vegas tomorrow to get the engine fixed finally. I sure miss driving it.

We had a great time with Ann’s brother Mike and his wife Jen and their son Vance. It was the first time that Ann has seen him in person and she was just in heaven with him…he is quite the toddler.

I took Mike over to see the vette in the garage and we talked about the paint and body work. We all went to Golden Corral for dinner before they headed back to Vegas.
